Tip of the month: Invest time in learning how to develop new business
Last week, when AmLaw Daily reported the results of an American Lawyer survey of 440 new partners, the headline focused on problems in business development: “New Partners Fear Lack of Training Will Hamper Ability to Win Clients.”
To be honest, learning to develop new business is a lot easier than learning to be a lawyer. The world is full of training resources ranging from books to webinars and classes. The hard part is learning how to prioritize relentlessly, so that you get maximum results from your very limited marketing time.
The first Wednesday of every month is devoted to a very short and simple tip like this to help lawyers increase efficiency, provide greater value to their clients and/or develop new business.
